Marketing Services

What is Marketing?

MARKETING IS TO PRESENT A PRODUCT, SERVICE OR COMPANY TO THE END-USER, CREATING INTEREST AND DESIRABILITY.

Right Direction prides itself on thinking "out of the box" which enables us to produce some very slick, cost effective marketing solutions. Consider the following example:

A pub situated in the town centre was ticking over, but only just remaining solvent. Although there was live music Friday and Saturday nights, attendance remained low. After 3 months of constant advertising trying to attract customers with cheap drink, trading levels were not improving and morale was low.

How did Right Direction help?

Right Direction met once with the owner then submitted a marketing plan and costing, taking into account:

  • The client groups that need to be targeted e.g. 18 – 25
  • The advertising medium would be most effective for the target audience
  • What are their expectations as customers?
  • What are the current music trends?
  • Who are the competition and what are they offering?

What did we implement?

On this application we decided a make-over and launch was required. We re-organised the venue and dressed the staff to suit. Live music with an 80’s theme was planned and the brewery consulted to provide point of sale material and promotional drinks etc. We arranged for 4 promotion girls to hand out invitations in the town from 8.00 pm – midnight the weekend before the launch, and trained them to deliver a positive, up-beat pitch.

To entice more customers, the invitations contained one ‘free drink’ voucher and listed the venue’s forthcoming events. The evening turned out to be a great success, but more importantly, the staff were full of enthusiasm and looking forward to the next event, happy in the knowledge attendance would be much higher.

How can Right Direction enhance your business?

It doesn’t matter how big or small the business, if the marketing strategy is incorrect, it could mean the business will fail. Consumers need to know that a product/service is available otherwise they will not utilise it and, in many cases, lateral though is all that is required to create the best marketing plan.

This is one example of how the right marketing technique enhanced the sales of an ordinary business. Enthusing staff will improve their performance and, in an environment where atmosphere is paramount, customers will want to return to repeat the experience.
